At first glance, it would seem that each of the people in the video represent the following:

1. Nerdy White Guy – he represents Linux / OSX / et cetera users
2. Elderly Woman – she symbolizes people who are still using Windows XP (also those reluctant to make the switch to Vista)
3. Mother – represents the average uninformed homemaker (Man or Woman) who uses their computer for strictly web surfing/photo browsing
4. Tall Black Guy – the token minority (and to show that Windows 7 is for “everyone”)
