Everything is better in 1080p

Posted January 8th, 2010 in General by Michael

So, earlier this week my motherboard and LCD finally came. The ST2410 is looking very good so far (expect a detailed review at some point).

As for the motherboard… it appears that I did not in fact damage the other one. After switching mobos, the same issue I was having persisted. Since Newegg charges a 15% restocking fee + shipping, we’ve decided to keep the spare mobo and build another computer with it. This means that I might be able to upgrade my lowly AMD Athlon II x2 250 to a Phenom II x4 965 BE! =D (fingers crossed)

The overclocking capabilities may not be as good as the newer Phenom II X4 955 or Phenom II X6, but you pay for what you get. I would be more than satisfied with this purchase. And this is a AM2+ or AM3 CPU so it’s great for people still using DDR2 RAM.For comparison, the cheapest Phenom II X4 955 is $170, 965 for $188 and the X6 1055T is $206.
