Finally upgraded my dated P4 3.0ghz and NVidia 7600 GS!

Here are the specs of my new machine:

• AMD Athlon II x2 250 AM3 @ 3.0ghz – $70
• Gigabyte MA785G-UD3H – $100
• Antec Sonata III w/ 500w PSU – $120
• 4gb (2x2gb) of OCZ Ram – $95
• Powercolor Radeon HD 4870 – $150

Grand Total: $535 ($609.90 after 14% tax)

I haven’t done much heavy GPU things yet, but in Guild Wars (running at max settings/resolution/aa), I get max FPS. =D
For the time being, it’s running Windows Vista x64, but later on, I hope to get Archlinux up and running.

Been busy with School and stuff so I haven’t had much time to update this site. Hopefully now that I’m off for the summer, I’ll have more time (Although I start University in the Fall). Oh yeah, I graduated from High School earlier this month.

I also recieved the first ever Computer Science Award at Eric Hamber Secondary. Too bad there was no money attached with it.

So I’m back from camp and let me tell you, it was not what I had expected. RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) was an excellent experience, and I hope to do it again (volunteer).
