Just upgraded my Linode 360′s RAM to 450mb for an extra $5 per month. This should – hopefully – put an end to the numerous disk IO spikes and out-of-memory crashes I’ve been having lately.

I haven’t had much time lately to work on gmail-notifier, however, this small update should be beneficial to those who’s connection drops intermittently or who’s internet connection isn’t established before gmail-notifier.py starts.

Mmm… Baracky. It was well worth the $2.50 CAD.

So, earlier this week my motherboard and LCD finally came. The ST2410 is looking very good so far (expect a detailed review at some point).

As for the motherboard… it appears that I did not in fact damage the other one. After switching mobos, the same issue I was having persisted. Since Newegg charges a 15% restocking fee + shipping, we’ve decided to keep the spare mobo and build another computer with it. This means that I might be able to upgrade my lowly AMD Athlon II x2 250 to a Phenom II x4 965 BE! =D (fingers crossed)
